The Creation Station
The nice thing about having Mondays and Tuesdays off is that I’m generally able to get my errands done when most people are at work. However, this last Monday and Tuesday, I spent most of my free time on the computer, designing icons and making CD mixes.
The icons were fun to make and work beautifully on my iPhone. Of course, they probably don’t mean squat to anyone who doesn’t use an iPhone.
I also ended up creating a CD mix (front cover | back cover) - this one for my co-worker, Rebecca.
Normally, I try to initiate a theme of some kind when selecting the songs and creating the accompanying artwork. But this time, I didn’t really have much of a theme. So, I went perusing the Internet and downloaded some awesome vintage-styled Photoshop brushes and put them to good use.
Today, as I handed Rebecca the CD, she nearly spit out the Diet Coke she was drinking when she began to read the cover.
That alone was worth all the time I spent working on it.
